Which factors affect the cost of painting window frames?
Factor 1: The painter
As stated earlier, the primary factor in terms of cost is the hourly rate of the painter involved. This will usually fall between 26 and 39 GBP/hour. When the window frames on the outside of the house have to be painted, it is important to check if the rental cost of the scaffolding is included, otherwise this will be charged extra!
Factor 2: The paint
In the case of wooden window frames, it’s important to realise quality paint is important, in order to protect the wood against moisture. This will allow them to last much longer. When using aluminium and plastic frames, paint is not needed. If you do decide to paint these, always use a primer, which will allow the paint to adhere properly to the material.
